The machine constantly monitors the patient’s breathing pattern and ups the pressure level if an event is detected; it returns to lower pressure as and when the event concludes.

The machine with a front-facing color display is equipped with an ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display brightness according to ambient light levels. The machine has tray style filters that are easy to take out and clean. - Smart Ramp: Unlike traditional ramp that increases pressure constantly over a set amount of time, SmartRamp continuously monitors the breathing pattern and increases pressure only if an event is triggered.
- Advanced Data Displayed: The machine will show on-screen advanced data such as AHI, Periodic Breathing, Leak Rate, and Therapy Hours.
- Auto On/Off: The DreamStation BiPAP Auto possesses the ability to detect if the patient has his mask on or off and administers therapy accordingly.
